GENERAL RENTAL CONDITIONS

1. Purpose


These General Rental Conditions define the terms of availability and use of the scooters offered by Mana Scoot. Any reservation or signing of a contract implies full acceptance of these conditions.

2. Requirements to Rent



Scooter rental is reserved for persons aged 18 or older who hold a valid driver’s license and present an official form of identification. Only the persons named in the rental agreement are authorized to drive the vehicle.

3. Reservation


Reservations can be made via the website, by phone, by email, or directly at the Mana Scoot agency. A reservation is considered confirmed only after validation and payment.

4. Rates


Rental prices are listed in Pacific Francs (XPF).
1 to 3 days: 3,000 XPF per day (50cc) | 4,000 XPF per day (125cc)
4 days or more: 2,500 XPF per day (50cc) | 3,500 XPF per day (125cc)
The rate applied will be the one in effect at the time of booking.

5. Payment


The total payment for the rental must be made at the time of signing the contract or at the time of confirming the reservation. No refunds will be made in case of early return.

6. No Deposit Required


Mana Scoot does not require a security deposit. However, the renter remains responsible for the scooter and its equipment for the entire duration of the rental. Repair or replacement costs may be charged in case of damage, loss, or theft.

7. Condition of the Scooter


A check of the scooter is performed at the time of handover and at the time of return. The renter agrees to return the vehicle in the same condition, except for normal wear and tear.

8. Use of the Vehicle


The renter agrees to comply with the traffic code and to use the scooter responsibly. It is prohibited to drive under the influence of alcohol or illegal substances or to entrust the scooter to an unauthorized person.

9. Accident, Breakdown, or Theft


In the event of an accident, breakdown, or theft, the renter must immediately inform Mana Scoot. No repairs may be carried out without the prior approval of the rental company.

10. Insurance


Scooters are insured in accordance with current regulations. The renter remains responsible for damages resulting from misuse or violations.

11. Return of the scooter


The scooter must be returned on the scheduled date and time, with the initial fuel level and in a clean condition. Otherwise, fees will be applied as follows:
1,500 XPF for a vehicle returned without a full tank of fuel, and 2,500 XPF for a vehicle returned in a dirty condition.

In case of a delay in returning the vehicle, a one-hour grace period is granted. Beyond this period, a penalty of 500 XPF
per hour of delay will be applied.

12. Fines and violations


Any violation committed during the rental period remains the responsibility of the renter.

13. Damages and losses


Any damage or loss of the vehicle or equipment may be charged.
Lost key: 10,000 XPF
Flat tire: 12,000 XPF
Missing helmet: 14,000 XPF
Lost lock: 5,000 XPF

14. Provided equipment


The rental includes a scooter, a helmet, and a lock. The vehicle documents are kept in the trunk.

15. Geolocation


Scooters may be equipped with a GPS system to locate the vehicle in case of theft or non-return.

16. Cancellation


Any cancellation must be reported before the start of the rental. Mana Scoot reserves the right to apply fees depending on the circumstances.

13. Applicable Law


These terms are subject to the applicable law in French Polynesia. In the event of a dispute, the competent courts will be those of Papeete.
